- Enhance communication and coordination regarding Title IX incidents to strengthen compliance with Title IX requirements regarding discrimination, harassment, and related retaliation based on sex.
- Heighten awareness across TAMU regarding the types of discrimination and harassment prohibited by Title IX and how to report complaints.
- Coordinate strategies to provide prompt response and equitable resolution of Title IX complaints and prevent future occurrences of violations.
Established in 2011, this committee is not required by law but serves to strengthen compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; 20 U.S.C., sections 1681-1688 and 34 C.F.R. Part 106. The committee meets monthly.
